Let’s face it. Sometimes you can’t decide between a burger and a grilled cheese sandwich. That’s why we created the perfect solution – a delicious grilled cheese hamburger. Learn how to make this mouthwatering combination in our new video tutorial.

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds of Ground Beef (Sirloin Preferred)

  • 2 Packs of Onion Soup Mix

  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper

  • 1 Teaspoon Accent

  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tablespoon Mayo and/or Chipotle Gourmaise

  • 1 /2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 6 Slices of Texas Toast Bread

  • 6 – 9 Slices of Cheese

Directions

  • Mix ground beef, onion soup, salt, pepper, accent, and garlic powder in a bowl or container.
  • Roll hamburger meat into six balls.
  • Cut six squares of wax paper, then dip fingers into extra virgin olive oil.
  • Pick up a ball and press it into a hamburger patty, then place it on one square of wax paper. Make the edges of the patties a little thicker than the inside because the edges cook faster. Repeat the step for each hamburger ball.
  • Place each hamburger patty on the grill and cook to your preferred temperature.
  • Add one slice of cheese to each patty before taking it off the grill. Let the cheese melt on each patty for 30 seconds.
  • Place the cooked hamburger patties on a plate lined with a paper towel.
  • Mix the Mayo and Chipotle Gourmaise.
  • To assemble the grilled cheese hamburger: spread one teaspoon of mayo and chipotle gourmise mix on two slices of bread. Add a cheese slice to one piece of bread with the mayo/chipotle spread. Place a cooked hamburger patty on top of the slice of cheese. Top cooked hamburger patty with a slice of cheese. Place the other slice of bread with the mayo/chipotle spread on top of the sliced cheese.
  • Toast the sandwich in a butter-greased, cast iron skillet for 3 minutes on each side and serve hot. The cast iron skillet can be placed on a grill or stovetop to toast the sandwich.
